The name

The name says it: ANIM meets NOVA.

ANIM comes from the Latin anima — soul, breath, the living spirit within. The quiet part of you that already knows. It is also the root of animate: to bring to life. A reminder that every day, you can begin again.

NOVA comes from the Latin nova, "new" — and in the sky, a star that suddenly blazes thousands of times brighter. Not a light borrowed from elsewhere, but the one already inside you, breaking through.

There's a small secret in the name, though. Astronomers will tell you that a nova was never a new star — it's an old one, always there and far too faint to see, that suddenly, for reasons it can't control, becomes impossible to miss. The word itself is a centuries-old misunderstanding: nova means "new," yet the star was never new. It was there all along. It just took the right moment to be seen.
